In Part 1 we talked about “Knowing in your knower” that God Loves You.  Knowing it deep inside, in your gut, in your heart – a “knowing” so deep that no life circumstance or no other voice can shake that knowledge. In Part 1 we also touched on who could benefit from the “knowing” and how to get the “knowing” on the inside of you.  Soon we will begin the 21-Day God Loves You Challenge and start the processes of embedding God’s Love in our “knower.”

Today, we will explore –

Benefits of “Knowing in Your Knower”

Some of the benefits are –

  • To Be Strengthened in Your Heart, or Inner Man, “Knower”  (see Part 1)
  • To Be Rooted and Grounded in God’s Love For You
  • To Know the Width and Length and Depth and Height of God’s Love For You
  • To Know the Love of Christ by Experience, Beyond Head Knowledge

That he would grant you, according to the riches of his glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man;

That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love,

May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the width, and length, and depth, and height; —
To know the love of Christ, which passes knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be the glory…   Ephesians 3:16-21 NKJV

The Greek word for “strengthened” is  krataioo
Meaning – To empower, that is, (passively) increase in vigor: – be strengthened, be (wax) strong.

Please note the word “passively” in this definition. This means that God does the work of embedding His Love within us, all we have to do is meditate on that truth. (See Part 1)

The Greek word for “rooted” is  rhizoō,
Meaning to root (figuratively become stable)

The Greek word for “grounded” is  themelioō
It means – to lay the foundation

The Greek word for “Love” in this passage in Ephesians is  agapē
One of the meanings is  – a love feast

Tree Rooted Grounded and By Living Waters 2

With the 21-Day God Loves You Challenge, we will lay the foundation for implanting God’s Love into our “Knower.”

As we lay that foundation, we will be digging the roots of our thinking into the Truth of God’s Love for Us. With ever increasing growth of those roots, we will become more stable in the knowledge of His Love – solid and unshakable, like a tree with deeply embedded roots.

Blessed is the man that trusts in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is.
For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreads out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat comes, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.   Jeremiah 17:7-8 KJV

Hebrew meanings for “careful” – be anxious, afraid, take thought.   Meaning – a tree with deep roots shall not be afraid when difficulty comes.

Hebrew meanings for “cease” – to withdraw (literally and figuratively), to go back.  Meaning – a tree with deep roots shall not go back into old ways or fears.

Let me pause here for a word of encouragement – Becoming a tree with deeply embedded roots in God’s Love for You is a process.  It takes time.  If (and when) you (we) slip back into old ways or old fears, don’t be discouraged.  Stand up, chin high and keep moving forward.  “God’s Love is patient and kind.”  (1 Corinthians 13:4 AMP)

Now, back to definitions from Jeremiah 17:7-8

Some of the Hebrew meanings of “green” – new, prosperous, flourishing.

“Yielding” is a combination of Hebrew words meaning –

  • from out of in many senses
  • to do or make
  • accomplish
  • advance
  • become
  • have the charge of
  • fly
  • govern
  • journey
  • be warrior

Trusting in God is like being a tree planted by the waters, putting down deep roots and spreading our branches, not being afraid or withdrawing, but flourishing.

Flourishing in all sense of the word –

  • Confidence in who you are
  • Courage to undertake new adventures
  • Accomplishment in good thinking, good relationships, and in good work
  • Abundant Life

I’m eager to experience a deeper knowing in my heart of the Love God has for me.  How about you?

Remember (from above) the Greek word for Love in Ephesians –  agapē
Meaning – a love feast. Basking in a Love Feast from God.  I’m eager for that.

Before we begin the 21-Day God Loves You Challenge, may I suggest that we pray for ourselves the scripture prayer that the apostle Paul prayed for the believers in the Ephesian church (Ephesians 3:16-20 as listed above).  I’m writing this with personalized pronouns for the benefit of each of us.

One key to embedding the Love of God into your heart is personalizing the Word of God for yourself.

Dear Heavenly Father,

I ask that you grant me, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in my inner man,

that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith, that I, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height —

to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that I may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that I ask or think, according to the power that works in me, I thank you, God.  Amen

Don’t hesitate to pray this scripture for yourself multiple times throughout the 21-Day God Loves You Challenge and throughout your lifetime.

I invite you to click on the black “Follow” tab near the bottom of your screen to be sure you are notified of each post so you can join the 21-Day God Loves You Challenge.
